Volunteer or Foster a Pet!

Volunteers are always needed to help at the shelter or at off site events like adoption days, fairs, festival and fund raisers. Volunteering is very fun and rewarding and it is a great way to meet like minded people. Off site volunteers must be at least 18, shelter volunteers need to be at least 16 to volunteer without an adult. Please call the shelter at 706-795-2868 to find out more.

Volunteers are also needed to photograph shelter animals for the website. We have a digital camera you can use. One person can photograph smaller animals but it is best to bring a friend for the larger animals.

What about Fostering?

Do you have what it takes to welcome a shelter pet into your home? Fostered pets are often more adoptable because they learn some basic manners and are more likely to be well socialized. Please consider fostering! Contact us for more information.
*Please note this is not a guarantee of approval.
*All foster homes must be approved by MOAS on an individual basis.

Donate a Kuranda Bed

Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a shelter dog to sleep in comfort, please click here. They are perfect for emaciated dogs, dogs recovering from heartworm treatment, and arthritic dogs.

Donate to SponsorSnip

For just $35.00 you can sponsor the spay or neuter of a shelter animal. Animals that are already spayed or neutered can attend our off-site adoption days. They can also leave the shelter without a waiting period when they are adopted. These animals have a better chance of being adopted quickly. Sponsoring a snip can save an animals life!
