Off Site Adoption Days:
Every
second and fourth Saturday from noon through 4:00 PM some of our
hopeful residents visit Pet
Supplies Plus (Alps shopping center - Athens). Please stop by
and visit
these wonderful animals. Your new best friend is waiting!

Rescue Groups Agency Transfers:
We want to work
with your rescue group! If you are a State Department of
Agriculture licensed rescue group, we will happily transfer animals
from our shelter to your care. Please call the Shelter at
706.795.2868
or email moaspets@earthlink.net
for more information. You will need to fax a copy of your license
to 706.795.3069.
Please note this is
not a
guarantee of transfer.
All transfers must be approved by MOAS on an individual basis.

Low Cost Spay and Neuter:
The
shelter offers a very affordable low cost spay/neuter program.
The clinic is open to rescue groups and the general public. You do not
need to live in Madison or Oglethorpe Counties to utilize this
service. Please call 706-795-2868 to make an appointment.
All animals must be dropped off between 8:00 and 9:00 AM and picked up
the same day. We offer different pick up times on different days
for your convenience.
Prices are as follows:
GENERAL PUBLIC:
Dogs: Spay (< 25 pounds) $65; Spay (>25 pounds)

Dogs: Neuter ( <25pounds) $45; Neuter (> 25 pounds) $55
Cats: Spay $50
Cats: Neuter

Feral Cat Spay (Must be trapped)

Vaccinations: $10 (only done for spay/neuter
patients)

Volunteers Needed:
Volunteers
are always needed to help at the shelter or at off site events like
adoption days, fairs, festival and fund raisers. Volunteering is
very fun and rewarding and it is a great way to meet like minded
people. Off site volunteers must be at least 18, shelter
volunteers need to be at least 16 to volunteer without an adult.
